An authentic terracotta bread baker. Simply place the proved dough inside the vessel and bake. With a ribbed base to prevent sticking, the lid traps steam and maintains an even temperature to create a thick crispy crust. baker requires seasoning before first use: 1) Fully immerse in warm water and soak for 30 minutes. 2) Dry naturally before applying a coat of vegetable oil to the inside of the base and lid. 3) Place into a cold oven and bake at 200°C for 20 minutes until the oil is fully absorbed. 4) Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Please note unglazed terracotta will soak in fats and oils and stain. This is a design feature that improves the non-stick performance of the baker over time.
